The Square T4 helical cutter range takes our diverse milling portfolio to the next level with tools that features tangentially mounted inserts, each having 4 cutting edges. Tangential mounting reinforces insert stability, improves chip flow and provides unrestricted access to mounting screws, while multiple cutting edges help reduce tool cost per part. Additionally, such a mounting design directs the cutting forces to the thickest part of the inserts, providing highly robust milling performance and increased metal removal rates. The Square T4 helical range includes T4-08 and T4-12 cutters. Made for roughing and semi-finishing operations of steels, cast irons and various difficult materials, these cutters bring smooth cutting action, good surface finish and minimal chatter to slotting and contouring applications. All cutters in the range have integrated through coolant channels to provide extended tool life. Square T4 helical cutters are available in arbor, weldon and Seco weldon mounting systems in normal and close pitch versions.
