Snap on seals are used by being placed on top of overlapping ends of strap prior to tensioning. Without the need to pre-thread the seal, snap on seals greatly speed up the tensioning process. Crimp sealers press the edges of the seal and strap to create a joint that is shaped to create maximum friction on the seal and strap.
