Open seals are used by being placed on top of overlapping ends of strap prior to tensioning. Without the need to pre-thread the seal, open seals greatly speed up the tensioning process. Seals require the use of either a manual or automatic tensioner and sealer to create joint. This creates a light, durable high strength joint.
