Techniks machinable blanks provide a quality platform for creating your own custom tools. They are made from high-grade tool steel for best performance. Material anaylsis shows that the hardness at the spindle end is HRC 58˚ for long life and reduced spindle wear. The hardness on the machining end is HRC 25˚-28˚ and remains stable from the surface all the way to the core.
