The GEARWRENCH® MaxxLock™ hammers and sledges are built to last. The MaxxLock™ head to handle locking system uses epoxy and wedges to provide more than 10000 lb of pull off resistance. The head is drop forged from alloy steel then polished along the head, cheeks, and pein. The handles of our MaxxLock™ hammers have a fiberglass core that performs better than comparable steel rod handles and weigh less. These handles also have a steel reinforced copper tether point for working at height.
