Made to blend, clean and detail super alloys, tool steels, iron, soft metals, titanium, fiberglass and composites, the aluminum oxide of this Merit® surface prep AO coarse grit non-woven standard back up pad disc offers up to 50% better performance and 20% higher cut rate than competitors' offerings. With a thick layer of resin bond and grain on tough nylon scrim and high loft nylon fiber, this disc stays stiff and solid even under constant use. The clean bond resin technology delivers a consistently smear-free finish while reducing loading on soft metals, such as aluminum.
